Team Leader Mechanical is responsible for managing his team and all aspects of Mechanical Maintenance of complete plant focusing on Site KPIs (Reliability/Availability/Quality/EHS) in a safe, reliable and economical manner.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Leads the Mechanical Maintenance team in day to day plant activities.
- Trains the subordinates on preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Assigns preventive and corrective maintenance jobs as per the direction of Maintenance Manager. Supervises and co-ordinates activities of mechanical maintenance staff.
- Ability to read technical manuals, drawings, P&IDs and implement procedures/work instructions. Responsible to evaluate mechanical equipment condition and performance of the equipment. Plans and inspect completed work on plant equipment.
- Maintains records, prepare reports, and compose correspondence relative to work.
- Efficient user of MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point) for reports generation, data evaluation and preparation of presentations.
- Support Maintenance Manager in developing annual mechanical maintenance budget and ensure compliance.
- Manage Inventory of spare parts, consumables and tools. Raise requisitions for required material and parts, coordinate with vendors for technical queries, and procurement for issuance of purchase orders.
- Co-ordinates with Stores for stock inventory and material inspections.
- Communicates effectively with others, both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of CMMS (preferably Maximo) to plan and execute work activities, maintain equipment history and co-ordinate with Mechanical Supervisor/Technician for job completion and technical matters.
- Acquires considerable knowledge of the process and the relevant mechanical, instrument & control and electrical system throughout the plant and apply the same to trouble shoot problems and leads the maintenance team in resolving the issue. Co-ordinates with operation department, electrical and I&C department for execution of maintenance activities.
- Troubleshooting of mechanical equipment failure or trip in coordination with the other O&M Supervisors and under instruction from the management.
- Helps Maintenance Manager in planning and scheduling outage scope with due regard to annual scheduled maintenance plan.
- Acquires full knowledge of EHS policies & procedures and ensures compliance. Assists and co-ordinates with EHS Manager/Supervisor with all EHS activities including implementation of policies/procedures, inspections and audits. Understand OH&S risks / hazards and Environmental / legislative aspect / Impacts related to work activities.
- Carry out all EHS related Tasks and trainings within the assigned target date.
- Complete the process of CP Authorization and follow the responsibilities assigned in SWP & authorities defined in Authorization certificate. Conduct EHS Risk assessments of routine and non-routine work activities and implement controls as needed/assigned.
- Support Maintenance Manager in completion of tasks as per Quality procedures.
- Responsible to maintain workshop equipment and tools used for Mechanical maintenance activities. Carry out pre-use checks for all tools, equipment’s and PPEs prior every use. Responsible to maintain lifting tools and cranes in healthy condition and keep all certifications UpToDate.
- To promote development and succession management in Mechanical Section.
- To evaluate, plan and actively participate in plant housekeeping.
Required Qualifications
BE/B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (Degree should be recognized by PEC) having minimum six years (06) of Combined Cycle Power Plant Experience or 6 years experience in power plant/fertilizer plant/Petrochemical with three years (03) as a Lead of Mechanical Team.
